Traditional Wooden Decking

Softwood and hardwood Timber decking offer a traditional style of deck that embraces the beauty of nature.

Softwood is more affordable to those on a budget and offers a short-term solution, whereas hardwood is much more durable and is more resistant to warping, rotting, and splitting. With the right type of maintenance, hardwood decking can last for around 15-20 years.

The advantage of wooden decking is that it’s affordable and comes in a wide range of different types of deck boards and colours. Wooden decking can also be painted or stained to the colour of your choice, enhancing your garden and its features.

Composite decking

If you're after low-maintenance and extremely durable decking that will last for around 30 years, then composite decking should be your first choice.

Composite decking, also known as WPC decking, is a combination of wood fibres and plastic that forms a very robust material, that is capable of enduring the most brutal of weather systems.

It’s not prone to water penetration so it will never rot or crack, and it’s anti-slip, unlike wooden decking that can be hazardous if it’s not treated.

You don’t need to stain or paint composite decking as it comes in a wide range of colours, from ivory through to jet black. And being up to 99% recycled, composite is an environmentally-friendly choice.
